Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The crowd rose to their feet as Cait Dubh Athy's Abban Colwell slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gearóid McJon. That made the score 1-0 after 3 minutes of play. Gearóid McJon was a little too slow when Abban Colwell got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 7th minute. The score was now 2-0. After 13 minutes, Albano Mitxel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cait Dubh Athy and the Coolumber players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 13th minute, Albano Mitxel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ionel Rogozea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Breccan Dempsey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Brakawn Gough managed to get in a good position for a shot. Coolumber's supporters rose to their feet, but Brakawn Gough was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ionel Rogozea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Brakawn Gough received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Ionel Rogozea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Breccan Dempsey succeeded in the game's 25th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brakawn Gough in the 29th minute of play forced Cait Dubh Athy's goalkeeper Ionel Rogozea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute Brakawn Gough shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ionel Rogozea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Breccan Dempsey in the 35th minute of play forced Cait Dubh Athy's goalkeeper Ionel Rogozea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brakawn Gough fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ionel Rogozea having to interfere. Tevis Willson struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Gearóid McJon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cait Dubh Athy. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Breccan Dempsey stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ionel Rogozea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Breccan Dempsey, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Scot McBjarton struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Ionel Rogozea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Coolumber. Cait Dubh Athy's Finn McOliver was substituted for Abban Colwell. The supporters of Cait Dubh Athy booed when Coolumber was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Berrigan Colwell didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute Finn McOliver shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gearóid McJon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gearóid McJon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Finn McOliver in the 69th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Brakawn Gough managed to get in a good position for a shot. Coolumber's supporters rose to their feet, but Brakawn Gough was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ionel Rogozea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Cait Dubh Athy getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Brett Todd hit a great ball. 81 minutes into the match, Finn McOliver had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gearóid McJon. Coolumber's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Finn McOliver was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. If Breccan Dempsey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute, Brakawn Gough fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ionel Rogozea, passed just outside the right post. Many of Coolumber's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Coolumber may have spent more time on the ball, but Cait Dubh Athy were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
