If Ashley Martindale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sebastien Middlewood showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ash Bridgeworth, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Ashley Martindale's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 76thth minute, Sebastien Middlewood skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ashley Martindale could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Sebastien Middlewood made a huge save. If Aaron Dalton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Colin Plummer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Aaron Dalton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Melton Mowbray's supporters rose to their feet, but Aaron Dalton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jay Barkley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Colin Plummer in the 89th minute of play forced Brinklow's goalkeeper Jay Barkley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
