Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tim Stiles took the kick off in the first half of the match. Steven Allanson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brendon Willis in the 5th minute of the match. Dion Herring could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Blair Merrill made a huge save. Noel Rusby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blair Merrill having to interfere. In the 12th minute, Oadby's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Tim Stiles fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The supporters of Bournemouth FC booed when Oadby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brendon Willis didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dion Herring got free with Blair Merrill in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dion Herring's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Blair Merrill read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. If Tim Stiles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dion Herring received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Blair Merrill tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Bournemouth FC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Stanislaw Moryl hit a great ball. Tim Stiles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dion Herrings short, quick shot in the 45thth minute got Blair Merrill to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 48th minute, Tim Stiles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Oadby's Blair Merrill played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tim Stiles in the 54th minute of play. Bournemouth FC's Stanislaw Moryl got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Tim Stiles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Stu Carey during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 62nd minute of the game. One of Oadby:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Bournemouth FC:s goal. 68 minutes into the match, Bournemouth FC's Tim Stiles sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Blair Merrill narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dion Herring sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stevie Notley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With an all-out effort, Oadby's Steven Allanson threw himself towards the right post 82 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Brendon Willis, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Blair Merrill made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dion Herring in the 85th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tim Stiles in the 90th minute of play forced Oadby's goalkeeper Blair Merrill to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brendon Willis in the 93rd minute of play forced Bournemouth FC's goalkeeper Steven Allanson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 97th match minute, Bournemouth FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dave Sparkes to maneuver through the defense. Vincent Bibby charged in rather forcefully in the 98th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vincent Bibby the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 98th minute, Vincent Bibby hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee ended the match the Bournemouth FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
