Westerham FC's Curtis Darby got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Curtis Darby in the 10thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Sam Gold, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Curtis Darby sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Westbury-sub-Mendip's Sam Gold got control of the ball when Casey Peakman tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Curtis Darby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute, Curtis Darby got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sam Gold was out of position in the 26 minute of play, and Curtis Darby capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Curtis Darby really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Casey Peakman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ivor Branston received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Brendon Speight tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 38 minutes into the match, Westbury-sub-Mendip's Ivor Branston sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Brendon Speight narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Howard Reddington fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Westbury-sub-Mendip's protests and gave Howard Reddington a yellow card for diving instead. In the 40th minute, Howard Reddington hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Casey Peakmans short, quick shot in the 43rdth minute got Sam Gold to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Curtis Darby stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Westbury-sub-Mendip's goal looked a bit too open when Curtis Darby came free, but Sam Gold reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brendon Speight showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivor Branston, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 60th minute, Casey Peakman made a precise shot to the right of Sam Gold. Westbury-sub-Mendip's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Casey Peakman in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sam Gold prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Don Lister's late challenge caught a Westbury-sub-Mendip's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Don Lister helped the player get up and apologised. In the 70th minute, Don Lister hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Westerham FC booed when Westbury-sub-Mendip was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Howard Reddington didn't get a good kick on the ball. Casey Peakman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Sam Gold tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Westbury-sub-Mendip's zone, Casey Peakman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sam Gold came out of the goal and Casey Peakman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Brendon Speight made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodney Peakman in the 81st minute. Westerham FC's Brendon Speight proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Westerham FC from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Westerham FC's zone, Rodney Peakman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brendon Speight came out of the goal and Rodney Peakman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Rodney Peakman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Westbury-sub-Mendip's supporters rose to their feet, but Rodney Peakman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brendon Speight breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sam Gold didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Curtis Darby went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Westbury-sub-Mendip's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
