Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Sean Shuttleworth started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 6th minute of the game. One of Aylsham FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Trowell United:s goal. Lloyd Philips shot the penalty kick right outside the post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nat Osbourn in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Clive Pringle saved Trowell United from getting behind. Andy Fitzgerald took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Brett Webb. Aylsham FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Bruce Hayes took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Clive Pringle. Clive Pringle dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Aylsham FC's Gordon Rushmere got a free kick in the 24th minute. Pete Stayton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Aylsham FC's Brett Webb got control of the ball when Pete Stayton tried to sneak it across the goal line. 34 minutes into the game, Bruce Hayes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Clive Pringle was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 37 minutes, Bruce Hayes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aylsham FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bruce Hayes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nat Osbourn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Clive Pringle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nat Osbourn to make the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Aylsham FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sean Shuttleworth came free, but Brett Webb reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bruce Hayes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 58thth minute, Clive Pringle skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 60 minutes into the match, Aylsham FC's Nat Osbourn sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Clive Pringle narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 69th of the match, Nat Osbourn tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Clive Pringle got in the way and made a wonderful save. Bruce Hayes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Clive Pringle made a huge save. Clive Pringle was a little too slow when Nat Osbourn got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 78th minute. The score was now 0-3. Pete Stayton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brett Webb having to interfere. After some careless play in the Aylsham FC defense, Sean Shuttleworth kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Brett Webb. The Aylsham FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Brett Webb should have stopped the shot. Bruce Hayes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Clive Pringle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Trowell United's Clive Pringle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruce Hayes in the 91st minute of play.
