In the 26th minute, Seb Robinson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pierce Sutcliffe kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Andover City's Shawn Collier couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for West Bridgford AFC. In the 33rd minute, Pierce Sutcliffe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind West Bridgford AFC's goalkeeper Chip Brumfitt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 42 minutes into the match, Seb Robinson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Chip Brumfitt. West Bridgford AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Seb Robinson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After a rather tough play, Andover City's Marcus Hurdle got a free kick in the 45th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lewis Winterbottom to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, West Bridgford AFC's Deon Holdcroft sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Stu Wood narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of West Bridgford AFC booed when Andover City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Neil Scargill didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Lewis Winterbottom came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the West Bridgford AFC fans jumped to their feet. Pierce Sutcliffe made a great header on West Bridgford AFC's corner, it was just that Andover City's Stu Wood managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Deon Holdcroft in the 66th minute of play forced Andover City's goalkeeper Stu Wood to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Shawn Collier, 70 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lewis Winterbottom during the 81st minute. In the 90th minute Harvey Auckland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chip Brumfitt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Harvey Auckland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Chip Brumfitt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Andover City left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than West Bridgford AFC.
