An unexpectedly hard shot by Eddy Hopker in the 74th minute of play forced Liphook AFC's goalkeeper Verne Willets to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rupert Lennon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Verne Willets tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Les Wrigley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Verne Willets made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rupert Lennon in the 84th minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, Shepton Mallet United's goal looked a bit too open when Ethan Fenton came free, but Paddy Nevin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathon Reeve took the ball and in the 97 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paddy Nevin. Paddy Nevin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2.
