Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Marty Bannister sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Miles Reid's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Brad Sawyer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. When Codicote's Rupert Boyd in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hythe's goalie prevented a goal. Nick Clayson hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Codicote's Rupert Boyd managed to work through Hythe's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Rupert Boyd dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Charles Richardson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Pete Noble tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daryl Leach kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the match, Charles Richardson dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Pete Noble, 1-0. When Rupert Boyd, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 25 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Pete Noble was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 27th minute of the match Colin Lydiate sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Brad Sawyer skillfully saved the ball. Brad Sawyer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marty Bannister, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Charles Richardson had several of the Hythe's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 33 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Pete Noble as he didn't even see the shot coming. Marty Bannister might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Brad Sawyer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marty Bannister ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 40th minute of the match Nicky Mortlock shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Brad Sawyer showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 41st minute Miles Reid shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brad Sawyer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marty Bannister made a kick off. Miles Reid could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Brad Sawyer made a huge save. Rupert Boyd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pete Noble having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rupert Boyd in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pete Noble prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Charles Richardson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pete Noble having to interfere. In the 65th minute, Rupert Boyd ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pete Noble was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Rupert Boyd sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rupert Boyd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Pete Noble tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 78th minute of the match, Miles Reid got a very nice opportunity to score, but Brad Sawyer was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 79 played minutes Codicote got a freekick which was hit by Richard Boothroyd. Les Hylton kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. After 84 minutes Codicote's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Timothy Bean who took care of the corner kick. In the 85th match minute, Codicote was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victor Poate to maneuver through the defense. Miles Reid received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Brad Sawyer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Miles Reid recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Codicote had won after a very even match.
