Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Liphook AFC's Verne Willets proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Liphook AFC from getting a goal against them. Marty Bannister sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Hythe's zone, Ethan Fenton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pete Noble came out of the goal and Ethan Fenton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 12th minute, Marty Bannister got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Teddy Cross hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Jonathon Reeve managed to get in a good position for a shot. Liphook AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonathon Reeve was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pete Noble breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Liphook AFC's Jonathon Reeve got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ethan Fenton took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pete Noble. Pete Noble dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Vinnie Wells received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Pete Noble tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ethan Fenton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Jonathon Reeve came up free with the goalie in the 50th minute, the Liphook AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonathon Reeve couldn't finish the play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marty Bannister to make the kick off. An unexpected shot in the 57th minute by Jonathon Reeve got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Nick Clayson's late challenge caught a Liphook AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nick Clayson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 67th minute, Nick Clayson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Liphook AFC's Ethan Fenton got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hythe's goalkeeper Pete Noble, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Hythe getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Daryl Leach hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, Liphook AFC's Pete Noble threw himself towards the right post 78 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ethan Fenton, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Hythe's Pete Noble played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ethan Fenton in the 87th minute of play. Chris Newton's late challenge caught a Liphook AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Chris Newton helped the player get up and apologised. Ethan Fenton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nick Clayson hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Liphook AFC were awarded a corner in the 99th minute after Hythe's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ty Hanley took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Ty Hanley got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Pete Noble quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.
