The Worcester Park FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Gordon Fearns made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stefan Glanvill in the 7th minute of play. In the 8th minute Alex Tucker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gordon Fearns saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 10 minutes, Zackary Rocastle successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Will Platt kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. The supporters of Worcester Park FC booed when Smallfield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Richie Holland didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alex Tucker to make the kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 56 minutes, Gordon Fearns successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Trevor Merris in the 58th minute of play forced Worcester Park FC's goalkeeper Zackary Rocastle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Worcester Park FC's Gordon Fearns threw himself towards the right post 62 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alex Tucker, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 65th match minute, Smallfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gregory Beckett to maneuver through the defense. 66 minutes into the game, Worcester Park FC's Alex Tucker nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gordon Fearns made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Gerry Cusack sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Alex Tucker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dean Mason in the 83rd minute of play forced Smallfield's goalkeeper Gordon Fearns to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gordon Fearns made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stefan Glanvill in the 85th minute. Zackary Rocastle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Trevor Merris, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Worcester Park FC's zone, Trevor Merris stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zackary Rocastle came out of the goal and Trevor Merris tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Trevor Merris fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zackary Rocastle having to interfere. After 93 minutes, Olly Myers mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Smallfield and the Worcester Park FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Worcester Park FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
