After a defensive mix-up in Sheffield's zone, Frazer Culverhouse stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gwyn Talbot came out of the goal and Frazer Culverhouse tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 14th minute, Tom Laverick hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd minute Joseph Murphy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Postolan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Frazer Culverhouse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute of the match, Frazer Culverhouse got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gwyn Talbot was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 31 minutes into the match, Leominster United's goal looked a bit too open when Danny Fordham came free, but Ivan Postolan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andre Lister hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. After 33 minutes of play, Sheffield's Joseph Murphy made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ivan Postolan was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match clock showed 37 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Thomas Ely sped through Sheffield's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gwyn Talbot. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Thomas Ely made a kick off. Gwyn Talbot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frazer Culverhouse, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Gwyn Talbot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frazer Culverhouse in the 65th minute of the match. Ivan Postolan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joseph Murphy in the 68th minute of the match. A collision led to Leominster United getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Francis Peat hit a great ball. In the 81st match minute, Leominster United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miles Millman to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Leominster United's zone, Danny Fordham stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivan Postolan came out of the goal and Danny Fordham tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gwyn Talbot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomas Ely, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
