Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Swanmore's Bill Buxton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tris Buxton in the 22nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tris Buxton in the 23rd minute of play forced Swanmore's goalkeeper Bill Buxton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Wigston booed when Swanmore was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tyrone Vaughn didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Tris Buxton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Charles Moxey during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tyrone Vaughn kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Vincent Platt kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Tris Buxton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 41 played minutes Swanmore got a freekick which was hit by Vincent Platt. Tris Buxton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Bill Buxton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tris Buxton to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Charles Moxey got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 57 minutes, Charles Moxey managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wigston's supporters crossed their fingers, but Charles Moxey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wigston's Wes Earnshaw played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denis Friend in the 60th minute of play. When Denis Friend came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Swanmore fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Denis Friend couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tris Buxton in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bill Buxton saved Swanmore from getting behind. Vincent Platt charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vincent Platt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Vincent Platt hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. A very good chance. 80 minutes into the match, Wigston's goalkeeper Wes Earnshaw had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Niall Holroyd. In the 81st minute Charles Moxey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bill Buxton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Niall Holroyd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wes Earnshaw having to interfere. Wes Earnshaw showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denis Friend in the 90th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Swanmore's Will Langford got a free kick in the 90th minute. If Tris Buxton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Swanmore eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
