In the 81st minute, Barney Crowell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Stead could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Russ Ruddock made a huge save. Daniel Stead who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 84thth minute tested the skills of Russ Ruddock when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Russ Ruddock showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tommy Turk in the 91st minute of the match. Russ Ruddock was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ash Boland showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 95 minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Withernsea left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Heckmondwike AFC.
