After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Rupert Holloway managed to get in a good position for a shot. Camden Town FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rupert Holloway was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Des Elam breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dean Mann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Des Elam having to interfere. In the 22nd minute John Hepburn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kauan Duarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ashford AFC were awarded a corner in the 23th minute after Camden Town FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Verne Woodhall took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Verne Woodhall got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Kauan Duarte quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, Camden Town FC's Denis Curteanu got a free kick in the 29th minute. The supporters of Camden Town FC booed when Ashford AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Glen Deaconsfield didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rupert Holloway to strike the kick off in the second half. When Isaac Wicks came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Camden Town FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isaac Wicks couldn't finish the play. Isaac Wicks sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rupert Holloway in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Des Elam saved Ashford AFC from getting behind. A collision led to Ashford AFC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Verne Woodhall hit a great ball. A sloppy throw-in by Anthony Strongman in the 72nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Camden Town FC's Isaac Wicks. The Camden Town FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by John Hepburn during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Camden Town FC booed when Ashford AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. John Hepburn didn't get a good kick on the ball. The throw-in from Anthony Strongman in the 82nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Camden Town FC's Ryan Slater. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerry Daly in the 84th minute of play forced Camden Town FC's goalkeeper Kauan Duarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Camden Town FC's Isaac Wicks got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rupert Holloway in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Des Elam saved Ashford AFC from getting behind. When the referee ended the match the Camden Town FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
