Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Pedro Bond showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marc Saunders in the 4th minute of the match. Pedro Bond took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dave McNiven, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 8 minutes into the match, Chingford's goal looked a bit too open when Marc Saunders came free, but Pedro Bond reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 10th minute, Marc Saunders got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Calum Hodgson struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Sammy Chadwick didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chingford. 27 minutes into the match, Cove's Marc Saunders sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Bond narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Marc Saunders was extremely unlucky when he, in the 34th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After a defensive mix-up in Chingford's zone, Laurence Workman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Bond came out of the goal and Laurence Workman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Chingford's Ed Browne got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sammy Chadwick made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Albert Knight sent off a good shot on target. In the 63rd match minute, Cove was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Byron Rashleigh to maneuver through the defense. Albert Knight sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Albert Knight managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chingford's supporters rose to their feet, but Albert Knight was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sammy Chadwick breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sammy Chadwick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ed Browne, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Albert Knight received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Sammy Chadwick tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ed Browne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cove's Ash Wilson suffered a sprained foot after 84 minutes and couldn't finish the game. In the 85th match minute, Chingford was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Calum Hodgson to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Bond made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marc Saunders in the 87th minute of play. If Ed Browne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albert Knight could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Sammy Chadwick made a huge save. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
