Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Rio Weeks got the match started through his kick off. In the 4th minute, Tristram Ainsworth got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tristram Ainsworth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Darren Guest was out of position in the 9 minute of play, and Bryan Cahill capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bryan Cahill really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Gregory Parkinson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rio Weeks, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Redruth FC's Dan Riley got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 19th minute, Devon Downton sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Redruth FC's Darren Guest didn't even have to move. After 26 played minutes Miles Tisdale rounded Redruth FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. Rio Weeks's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gregory Parkinson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. In the 36th minute, Rio Weeks left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Redruth FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. A collision led to Crookes City getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Larry Pearce hit a great ball. Gregory Parkinson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathon Bailey in the 41st minute of play.

In the 52nd minute Miles Tisdale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Darren Guest saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Miles Tisdale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 59th minute Dan Riley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregory Parkinson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rio Weeks in the 66th minute of play forced Crookes City's goalkeeper Gregory Parkinson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Rio Weeks came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Redruth FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rio Weeks couldn't finish the play. If Bryan Cahill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76th minute, Dom Little hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Redruth FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Dan Riley hit a great ball. After having played for 88 minutes, Rio Weeks managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Redruth FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rio Weeks was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Rio Weeks's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gregory Parkinson was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. For all the effort they put into the match, the Redruth FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Crookes City.
