The supporters of Birmingham Blaster FC booed when Kingsbridge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eddy Yeo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dom Dodd got free with Kazimierz Bochynski in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 64thth minute of the game Joseph Housham who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kingsbridge's Martyn Fowler was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 65th minute, Byron Jenkinson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 78 minutes into the match, Kingsbridge's Darryl Parks sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kazimierz Bochynski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 79 minutes into the game, Darryl Parks was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kingsbridge's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Birmingham Blaster FC the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in Birmingham Blaster FC's zone, Darryl Parks stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kazimierz Bochynski came out of the goal and Darryl Parks tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Birmingham Blaster FC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
