Bobby Willis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darren Colt having to interfere. Bobby Willis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Darren Colt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. In the 12th minute, Eric Boyd left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The High Coniscliffe fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 16 minutes into the match, Bobby Willis notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of High Coniscliffe's Darren Colt. Darren Colt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Eric Boyd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute.
