Guy Boothroyd was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Loyd Kearney during the 31st minute. Connor Buxton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vic Potts, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Hendon's Guy Boothroyd proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Hendon from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Robert Ridsdale in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guy Boothroyd prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 46th minute, Harvey Mabbutt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Robert Ridsdale stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Robert Ridsdale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guy Boothroyd having to interfere. The referee ignored Hendon's protests and gave Bobby Carsley a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Hendon getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Bobby Carsley hit a great ball. In the 74th minute, Austin Currie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Guy Boothroyd took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mattias Croxford, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
