The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Deon Harding during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Angelicas Secret Club booed when Wheaton Aston was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Deon Harding didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mickey Timmins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Phil Ellison tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Wheaton Aston's goalkeeper Beinn Reddington, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Wheaton Aston's Chris Dowrick got a free kick in the 11th minute. Mickey Timmins struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Phil Ellison didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wheaton Aston. When Wheaton Aston's Mickey Timmins in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Angelicas Secret Club's Phil Ellison played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Neil Peacock in the 30th minute of play. Neil Peacock's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Phil Ellison read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Phil Ellison made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mickey Timmins in the 38th minute of play. Wheaton Aston's Mickey Timmins got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Peter Stead sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Neil Peacock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Trey Daly made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 56 minutes, Neil Peacock managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wheaton Aston's supporters crossed their fingers, but Neil Peacock was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Angelicas Secret Club fans' excitement grew in the 64th match minute when Angelicas Secret Club's Jez Wooding looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Barrie Brook fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Angelicas Secret Club's protests and gave Barrie Brook a yellow card for diving instead. 73 minutes into the match, Angelicas Secret Club's goalkeeper Phil Ellison had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Neil Peacock. Phil Ellison made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mickey Timmins in the 75th minute of play. A collision led to Angelicas Secret Club getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Todd Kitchen hit a great ball. Wheaton Aston's Pat Lomas couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 77th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Angelicas Secret Club. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 79th minute of the game. One of Angelicas Secret Club:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Wheaton Aston:s goal. Mickey Timmins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 99 minutes into the match, Wheaton Aston's goal looked a bit too open when Trey Daly came free, but Beinn Reddington reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Angelicas Secret Club's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
