Len Cuss sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Len Cuss received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Archie Woodhouse tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luke Philpott sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marty Foster hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. When Whittlesey City's Luke Philpott in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hockley City's goalie prevented a goal. The audience was convinced that Luke Philpott's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Archie Woodhouse was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. 14 minutes into the game, Luke Philpott lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Archie Woodhouse. If Luke Philpott had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Len Cuss in the 20thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Archie Woodhouse, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 21st match minute, Hockley City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Phillip Stewart to maneuver through the defense. Through an outstanding action, after 22 minutes, Archie Woodhouse successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Felix Seagrave hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 25th match minute, Hockley City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Seagrave to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Whittlesey City booed when Hockley City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Phillip Stewart didn't get a good kick on the ball. 35 minutes into the game, Leroy Barfield cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Pedro Lowe was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ivor Machin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Lowe having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leroy Barfield in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Lowe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Len Cuss took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Archie Woodhouse. Archie Woodhouse dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Archie Woodhouse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luke Philpott in the 53rd minute of play. Archie Woodhouse stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Len Cuss's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. If Len Cuss had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd match minute, Hockley City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Phillip Stewart to maneuver through the defense. Archie Woodhouse showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Len Cuss in the 65th minute of the match. In the 68th minute, Leroy Barfield reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Pedro Lowe. The goal made the score 2-2. Whittlesey City's defense didn't have a chance, in the 73rd minute, when Leroy Barfield scored to the left of an out of position Pedro Lowe, making the score, 2-3. Vincent Peake sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Len Cuss received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Archie Woodhouse tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 89 minutes of play, Whittlesey City's Luke Philpott made it 4-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Archie Woodhouse was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Len Cuss in the 96th minute of play forced Hockley City's goalkeeper Archie Woodhouse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Whittlesey City had won after a very even match.
