Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Philip Elvins took the kick off in the first half of the match. Olly Brearley took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 5th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Zak Senior. Redruth FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Wimborne's zone, Philip Elvins stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Blair Gray came out of the goal and Philip Elvins tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 16 minutes into the game, Phil Tindale was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Redruth FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wimborne the free kick. Phil Tindale hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. 17 minutes into the match, Wimborne's Olly Brearley broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Crispin Gamble in the 26th minute of play forced Wimborne's goalkeeper Blair Gray to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Redruth FC's Zak Senior played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sam Page in the 37th minute of play. In the 41st minute Philip Elvins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blair Gray saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rod Parrott kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Wimborne's Blair Gray proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Wimborne from getting a goal against them. Rod Parrott received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Zak Senior tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The audience was convinced that Jimmy Jenkinson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zak Senior was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. Blair Gray showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Crispin Gamble in the 67th minute of the match. A collision led to Wimborne getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Russell Homes hit a great ball. In the 69th minute, Rod Parrott hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 70 minutes into the match, Redruth FC's Ty Hutchings broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Jimmy Jenkinson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Zak Senior made a huge save. In the 77th minute, Crispin Gamble got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 79th match minute, Wimborne was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stephen Metcalf to maneuver through the defense. Blair Gray showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Philip Elvins in the 82nd minute of the match. Zak Senior stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sam Page's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. In the 97th minute Crispin Gamble shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blair Gray saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wimborne played a much better game than Redruth FC and deserved their victory. The Redruth FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
