Dale Salt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dane Bayford read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. After 8 played minutes Cullompton AFC got a freekick which was hit by Lenny Airton. Dane Bayford took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamin Bolton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dale Salt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dane Bayford having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Cullompton AFC's Dale Butler got a free kick in the 15th minute. Benjamin Bolton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dane Bayford read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. With a little luck, Brockenhurst City's Quentin Richardson got control of the ball when Marcus Scriven tried to sneak it across the goal line. Brockenhurst City's Gareth Hewitt couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 26th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Cullompton AFC. 29 minutes into the game, Joe East was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brockenhurst City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cullompton AFC the free kick. In the 33rd minute, Dale Salt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin Bolton in the 34th minute of play forced Cullompton AFC's goalkeeper Dane Bayford to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 39 minutes into the match, Cullompton AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Dale Salt came free, but Dane Bayford reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Iain Hislop stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Brockenhurst City's Dale Salt got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dane Bayford took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamin Bolton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Cullompton AFC's zone, Kris Masters stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dane Bayford came out of the goal and Kris Masters tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Benjamin Bolton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brockenhurst City's supporters rose to their feet, but Benjamin Bolton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dane Bayford breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With an all-out effort, Brockenhurst City's Dane Bayford threw himself towards the right post 73 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Benjamin Bolton, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 77 minutes into the match, Brockenhurst City's goal looked a bit too open when Iain Hislop came free, but Quentin Richardson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dale Salt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Dane Bayford made a huge save. Brockenhurst City's Benjamin Bolton got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dane Bayford stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benjamin Bolton's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. Joe East hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Dale Salt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Dane Bayford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 96 minutes into the match, Cullompton AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamin Bolton came free, but Dane Bayford reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
