In the 3rd minute, Iain Hislop got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Iain Hislop sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iain Hislop's late challenge caught a Vauxhall United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Iain Hislop helped the player get up and apologised. When Cullompton AFC's Iain Hislop in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vauxhall United's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Cullompton AFC's Lenny Airton got a free kick in the 18th minute. Ivan Bayford shot from long distance in the 19th minute, but Dane Bayford was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. A collision led to Cullompton AFC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Lenny Airton hit a great ball. Marcus Scriven's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vic Winterbine read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Vic Winterbine made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcus Scriven in the 30th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cody Hamilton in the 33rd minute of play forced Cullompton AFC's goalkeeper Dane Bayford to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 36 minutes into the game, Cody Hamilton recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dane Bayford. Cody Hamilton showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Cody Hamilton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Dane Bayford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Lenny Airton fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cullompton AFC's protests and gave Lenny Airton a yellow card for diving instead. Lenny Airton hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match.

53 minutes into the match, Vauxhall United's goalkeeper Vic Winterbine had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcus Scriven. Marcus Scriven sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Iain Hislop had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcus Scriven received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Vic Winterbine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Vauxhall United's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Marcus Scriven fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by CJ Fletcher in the 67th minute of play forced Cullompton AFC's goalkeeper Dane Bayford to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dale Butler hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. 69 minutes into the match, Cullompton AFC's goal looked a bit too open when CJ Fletcher came free, but Dane Bayford reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hayden Holmes's late challenge caught a Vauxhall United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hayden Holmes helped the player get up and apologised. In the 78th minute, Hayden Holmes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vic Winterbine showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iain Hislop, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Vauxhall United's Vic Winterbine proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Vauxhall United from getting a goal against them. Marcus Scriven sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cullompton AFC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Vauxhall United had won, even though Cullompton AFC had held more of the ball.
