In the 4th play minute Will Bromley came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Tommy Ash. 1-0. Carlton Langley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fitz Burkinshaw, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Carlton Langley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ritchie Cole in the 12th minute of play. Daryl Osborn hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. 16 minutes into the match, Orsett City's goal looked a bit too open when Silvestre Gelmiro came free, but Tommy Ash reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Will Bromley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silvestre Gelmiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tommy Ash. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Silvestre Gelmiro ran back to his position shaking his head. Tommy Ash didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Silvestre Gelmiro went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Carlton Langley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ritchie Cole, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlton Langley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ritchie Cole in the 30th minute of play. rattlers battlers's Carlton Langley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ritchie Cole in the 32nd minute of play. Will Bromley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Tommy Ash tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlton Langley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fitz Burkinshaw in the 36th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Fitz Burkinshaw made a precise shot to the right of Carlton Langley. rattlers battlers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Carlton Langley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Calvin Arrowsmith, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Silvestre Gelmiro was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Will Bromley in the 52nd minute of play forced Orsett City's goalkeeper Tommy Ash to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Calvin Arrowsmith fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Orsett City's protests and gave Calvin Arrowsmith a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of rattlers battlers booed when Orsett City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Calvin Arrowsmith didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Will Bromley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ritchie Cole sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 62 minutes into the game, Will Bromley cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Tommy Ash was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tommy Ash made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvestre Gelmiro in the 67th minute of play. Daryl Osborn's late challenge caught a rattlers battlers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Daryl Osborn helped the player get up and apologised. After 70 played minutes Orsett City got a freekick which was hit by Daryl Osborn. In the 76th match minute, Orsett City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fitz Burkinshaw to maneuver through the defense. Tommy Ash showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Will Bromley, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. In the 82nd minute, Silvestre Gelmiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The rattlers battlers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. In the 95th minute there was a penalty for rattlers battlers. Billy Byrne stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Tommy Ash. 5-1. Orsett City's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
