The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the game, Neil Hayes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hampton in Arden's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cricklewood AFC the free kick. In the 4th match minute, Hampton in Arden was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Neil Hayes to maneuver through the defense. In the 6th minute, Neil Hayes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 7 played minutes, Cricklewood AFC's Stewart Froggatt shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Benjamin Auckland came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cricklewood AFC reached it. After a defensive mix-up in Cricklewood AFC's zone, Rowan Sutcliffe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Freddie Reeve came out of the goal and Rowan Sutcliffe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Cricklewood AFC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Harry Corbridge hit a great ball. In the 14th minute of the match, Kris Bourne tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Freddie Reeve saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 17th minute, Kris Bourne got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rowan Sutcliffe's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 20thth minute, Freddie Reeve skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. A hard shot 21 in the game by Rowan Sutcliffe from a close distance when the talented Freddie Reeve managed to make a qualified save. Cricklewood AFC's players were relieved. 23 minutes into the match, Rowan Sutcliffe notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Cricklewood AFC's Freddie Reeve. Freddie Reeve was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Kris Bourne came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Hampton in Arden fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kris Bourne couldn't finish the play. Cricklewood AFC's Freddie Reeve played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kris Bourne in the 33rd minute of play. Kris Bourne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gregory Rushmere hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Rowan Sutcliffe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Freddie Reeve made a huge save. Rowan Sutcliffe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Freddie Reeve having to interfere. Benjamin Auckland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Duncan Jobling in the 43rd minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when Kris Bourne made the kick off in the second half. Neil Hayes kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In the 55th minute, Nathan Hampshire got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Cricklewood AFC's Duncan Jobling in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hampton in Arden's goalie prevented a goal. In the 62nd match minute, Cricklewood AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niall Grantham to maneuver through the defense. Benjamin Auckland made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Nathan Hampshire sent off a good shot on target. In the 71st minute, Cricklewood AFC's Nathan Hampshire ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Benjamin Auckland. Benjamin Auckland yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Kris Bourne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Freddie Reeve tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Gerry Furniss's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Freddie Reeve was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. A collision led to Cricklewood AFC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Jasper Downton hit a great ball. Freddie Reeve showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kris Bourne, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. After having played for 86 minutes, Kris Bourne managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hampton in Arden's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kris Bourne was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Freddie Reeve took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kris Bourne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Cricklewood AFC's goalkeeper Freddie Reeve, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 94th minute, Rowan Sutcliffe ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Freddie Reeve was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1.
