The audience was convinced that Denny Farmer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tony Rush was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. In the 32nd minute, I Love Bathrooms's Dane Mabbutt ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Will Love. Will Love yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. A collision led to I Love Bathrooms getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Zackary Scholey hit a great ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The wind increased when Dane Mabbutt made the kick off in the second half. Darryl Darko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Tony Rush tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Will Love took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dane Mabbutt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Andy Walker's late challenge caught a I Love Bathrooms's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Andy Walker helped the player get up and apologised. In the 64th match minute, Sheffield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andy Walker to maneuver through the defense. Will Love showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Langsford, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Tony Rush came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Sheffield's Darryl Darko. But to his dismay, Darryl Darko quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Darryl Darko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tony Rush having to interfere. Tony Rush showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denny Farmer in the 92nd minute of the match. With a little luck, I Love Bathrooms's Tony Rush got control of the ball when Darryl Darko tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sheffield's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
