Isle Of Dogs City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bentworth the free kick. Damion Cavanagh kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Vernon Bartlett was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Curtis Roberts showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 22 minute of play. If Brad Darko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Isle Of Dogs City booed when Bentworth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Colin Holt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brad Darko's late challenge caught a Bentworth's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Brad Darko helped the player get up and apologised. After 36 played minutes Isle Of Dogs City got a freekick which was hit by Brad Darko. Colin Holt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Vernon Bartlett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Isle Of Dogs City's defense didn't have a chance, in the 43rd minute, when Henry Scholey scored to the left of an out of position Vernon Bartlett, making the score, 4-0. Vernon Bartlett made an important save on a dangerous shot by Colin Holt in the 48th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

When Brad Darko came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Isle Of Dogs City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brad Darko couldn't finish the play. Vernon Bartlett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Colin Holt, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Colin Holt in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vernon Bartlett saved Isle Of Dogs City from getting behind. Brad Darko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Curtis Roberts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donald Croyden took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brad Darko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Isle Of Dogs City booed when Bentworth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henry Scholey didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brad Darko's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Donald Croyden read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. Carl Guest recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vernon Bartlett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Curtis Roberts in the 88th minute of the match. Bentworth's Colin Holt got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 92 minutes into the match, Isle Of Dogs City's goal looked a bit too open when Curtis Roberts came free, but Vernon Bartlett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bentworth were awarded a corner in the 94th minute after Isle Of Dogs City's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Des Boston took the corner. Bentworth's Des Boston was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Vernon Bartlett in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 97 minutes into the match, Bentworth's goalkeeper Donald Croyden had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fred Styles. For all the effort they put into the match, the Isle Of Dogs City players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Bentworth.
