Nath Thorn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fraser Kingston in the 13th minute of play. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Palmers Fc's goalkeeper Wayne Middleton, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Denny Driver sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tipton's Tony Graydon got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tony Graydon got free with Wayne Middleton in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

51 minutes into the game, Tipton's Tony Graydon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denny Driver in the 87th minute of play forced Palmers Fc's goalkeeper Wayne Middleton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tipton's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
