Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Clapham's Nicholas Nottingham started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rupert Seward sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mitch Basham didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Garth Vaughn went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Holmer Green AFC's Rupert Seward got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Garth Vaughn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mitch Basham having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by David Sears during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Holmer Green AFC's David Sears got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 19th minute, Nicholas Nottingham fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Benji Stone, passed just outside the right post. Mitch Basham was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Nicholas Nottingham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 43 minutes, Nicholas Nottingham managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clapham's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicholas Nottingham was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After having played for 45 minutes, Garth Vaughn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Garth Vaughn made a kick off. Mitch Basham made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rupert Seward in the 59th minute. Mitch Basham was out of position in the 75 minute of play, and Garth Vaughn capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Garth Vaughn really showed his touch with that goal: 2-3. In the 85th minute of the match, Rupert Seward got a very nice opportunity to score, but Mitch Basham was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. With a little luck, Clapham's Mitch Basham got control of the ball when Rupert Seward tried to sneak it across the goal line. 93 minutes into the match, Clapham's goal looked a bit too open when Garth Vaughn came free, but Mitch Basham reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rupert Seward's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 98thth minute, Mitch Basham skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The Clapham fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Holmer Green AFC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
