Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Joel Henry got the match started through his kick off. After 10 played minutes Leek City got a freekick which was hit by Vance Greenwood. Conan Tyler was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 11th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Zack Hatcher's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Darius Greenman was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. Leek City's Wes McGovern got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 30th match minute, Finchley was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by CJ Eadan to maneuver through the defense. Darius Greenman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zack Hatcher's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Neil Peyton hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Zack Hatcher spun around in front of the goal 39 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Finchley's goal. If Wes McGovern had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zack Hatcher struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Darius Greenman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leek City. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zack Hatcher made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Zack Hatcher managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leek City's supporters rose to their feet, but Zack Hatcher was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Darius Greenman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 55 played minutes Leek City got a freekick which was hit by Bradley Middlewood. In the 60th minute Zack Hatcher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Darius Greenman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zack Hatcher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jerry Holdroyd's late challenge caught a Finchley's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jerry Holdroyd helped the player get up and apologised. Jerry Holdroyd hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Finchley's Darius Greenman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Finchley from getting a goal against them. 68 minutes into the game, Wes McGovern recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Darius Greenman. Wes McGovern showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. When Joel Henry came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Finchley fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Henry couldn't finish the play. Zack Hatcher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darius Greenman having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by CJ Eadan during the 97th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 97th minute, one of Finchley:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Finchley. Leek City's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
