Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Simon Crtichell made the kick off which started today's match. Philip Godfrey hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. In the 3rd minute, a hard, long distance shot from Malcolm Mahon hit the top of the crossbar and flew over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Keiran Driver managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saltash's supporters rose to their feet, but Keiran Driver was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lennie Sheridan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alan Meechan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jason Chegwyn, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fred Morgan in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alan Meechan saved Saltash from getting behind. When Marlon Couzens fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Saltash's protests and gave Marlon Couzens a yellow card for diving instead. Fred Morgan might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alan Meechan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fred Morgan ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Simon Crtichell managed to get in a good position for a shot. After 34 minutes of play, Saltash's Keiran Driver made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lennie Sheridan was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Saltash's Keiran Driver got a free kick in the 37th minute. Jason Chegwyn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jason Chegwyn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alan Meechan having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Saltash's goal looked a bit too open when Jason Chegwyn came free, but Alan Meechan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The wind increased when Jason Chegwyn made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Jason Chegwyn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alan Meechan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fred Nottingham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alan Meechan having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Saltash's zone, Fred Morgan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alan Meechan came out of the goal and Fred Morgan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 67 minutes into the match, LEYTON ORYENT's Jason Chegwyn sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alan Meechan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 69 minutes into the match, Saltash's goal looked a bit too open when Jason Chegwyn came free, but Alan Meechan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 72nd minute Jason Chegwyn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alan Meechan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fred Morgan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 81 minutes into the game, Freddie Fox was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Saltash's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave LEYTON ORYENT the free kick. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind LEYTON ORYENT's goalkeeper Lennie Sheridan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fred Nottingham's late challenge caught a Saltash's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fred Nottingham helped the player get up and apologised. In the 92nd minute, Fred Nottingham hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Simon Crtichell might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lennie Sheridan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Simon Crtichell ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 95 minutes, Fraser Midgley managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saltash's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fraser Midgley was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 99th minute, Fred Morgan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Saltash were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of LEYTON ORYENT for a fine match.
