Alderney City's Christian Oldroyd got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

In the 51stth minute of the game Christian Oldroyd who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Saltash's Alan Meechan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 56th minute, Keiran Driver had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Seth Dibb during the 56th minute.
