Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Marcus Cahill started the match with the kick off. Fred Nottingham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Perry Spann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 8th minute, Fred Morgan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Alderney City booed when LEYTON ORYENT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fred Morgan didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Christian Oldroyd had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 21 minutes into the match, Alderney City's Christian Oldroyd sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lennie Sheridan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Christian Oldroyd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lennie Sheridan having to interfere. Perry Spann didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fred Morgan went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Sid Clapham kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Alderney City's Perry Spann proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Alderney City from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fred Morgan got free with Perry Spann in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. LEYTON ORYENT's Lennie Sheridan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Oldroyd in the 42nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, LEYTON ORYENT's Fred Nottingham got a free kick in the 42nd minute. After 45 played minutes Alderney City got a freekick which was hit by Seth Dibb. Alderney City's Perry Spann proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Alderney City from getting a goal against them.

Marcus Cahill did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-3 to the left of a surprised Lennie Sheridan 53 minutes into the match. Christian Oldroyds short, quick shot in the 57thth minute got Lennie Sheridan to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a little luck, LEYTON ORYENT's Lennie Sheridan got control of the ball when Christian Oldroyd tried to sneak it across the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, Christian Oldroyd dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Lennie Sheridan, 1-4. 67 minutes into the match, LEYTON ORYENT's goal looked a bit too open when Marcus Cahill came free, but Lennie Sheridan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fred Nottingham kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. If Marcus Cahill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 71 minutes, Gaz Knowles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the LEYTON ORYENT and the Alderney City players grew even worse after the yellow card. 73 minutes into the match, Alderney City's Christian Oldroyd sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lennie Sheridan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 76th minute of the match Malcolm Mahon shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Perry Spann showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 78 minutes into the match, LEYTON ORYENT's Fred Morgan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Perry Spann narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Christian Oldroyd took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Lennie Sheridan to make any attempt to save it. Perry Spann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jason Chegwyn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Christian Oldroyd could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Lennie Sheridan made a huge save. Alderney City played a much better game than LEYTON ORYENT and deserved their victory. The LEYTON ORYENT players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
