Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Longridge AFC's Pierce Logan started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Duncan Mayo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zane Curtis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 4th match minute, Bloomsbury was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zack Skipton to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th match minute, Bloomsbury was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ron Rawson to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pierce Logan in the 13th minute of play forced Bloomsbury's goalkeeper Jacob Renwick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 17 minutes, Duncan Mayo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bloomsbury's supporters crossed their fingers, but Duncan Mayo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zane Curtis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronnie Pallister, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Duncan Mayo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bloomsbury's supporters rose to their feet, but Duncan Mayo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zane Curtis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Duncan Mayo scored 1-1 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zane Curtis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Duncan Mayo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jacob Renwick showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pierce Logan in the 32nd minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Longridge AFC's Jacob Renwick threw himself towards the right post 34 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Pierce Logan, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The supporters of Longridge AFC booed when Bloomsbury was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tristan Carey didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jacob Renwick acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 37th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Loyd Newbury. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Duncan Mayo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bloomsbury's supporters rose to their feet, but Duncan Mayo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zane Curtis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Duncan Mayo in the 42nd minute of play forced Longridge AFC's goalkeeper Zane Curtis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ronnie Pallister sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Duncan Mayo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Zane Curtis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Duncan Mayo was the one to do the kick off. Duncan Mayo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zane Curtis having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Longridge AFC's zone, Carlton Davies stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zane Curtis came out of the goal and Carlton Davies tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 57 minutes, Tod Bettney mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Longridge AFC and the Bloomsbury players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tod Bettney kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Zane Curtis made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Ronnie Pallister sent off a good shot on target. After 64 minutes of play Longridge AFC's Tod Bettney was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Shane Constable sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zane Curtis came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Bloomsbury's Duncan Mayo. But to his dismay, Duncan Mayo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. If Duncan Mayo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Longridge AFC's Zane Curtis got control of the ball when Duncan Mayo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Duncan Mayo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zane Curtis having to interfere. Dylon Hardcastle charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dylon Hardcastle the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dylon Hardcastle hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. A hard shot 83 in the game by Duncan Mayo from a close distance when the talented Zane Curtis managed to make a qualified save. Longridge AFC's players were relieved. Jacob Renwick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shane Constable in the 86th minute of play. Duncan Mayo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Zane Curtis made a huge save. When Marek Letheren fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Longridge AFC's protests and gave Marek Letheren a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Longridge AFC's Marek Letheren got a free kick in the 89th minute. Duncan Mayo struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Zane Curtis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bloomsbury. Tristan Carey blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zane Curtis having to make a save. Bloomsbury's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
