Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dane Pullen started the match with the kick off. Archie Lister sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Loyd Lambourne kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Waltham's Drew Pollard got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Danny Ingham took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dane Pullen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Archie Lister's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Danny Ingham read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Richie Griffin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Loyd Lambourne, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. When Archie Lister fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Seaton's protests and gave Archie Lister a yellow card for diving instead. In the 22nd minute, Archie Lister hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Richie Griffin managed to avoid a goal in the 24thth minute, when Waltham's Drew Pollard fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Seaton's Richie Griffin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Drew Pollard in the 33rd minute of play. If Archie Lister had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Seaton's zone, Loyd Lambourne stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Richie Griffin came out of the goal and Loyd Lambourne tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Danny Ingham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Archie Lister in the 40th minute of the match. Danny Ingham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dane Pullen in the 42nd minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Loyd Lambourne dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Richie Griffin, 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Loyd Lambourne stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Waltham booed when Seaton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reg Workman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dane Pullen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danny Ingham having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Drew Pollard in the 58th minute of play forced Seaton's goalkeeper Richie Griffin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Seaton defense, Loyd Lambourne kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Richie Griffin. The Seaton fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Richie Griffin should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Waltham's zone, Archie Lister stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Danny Ingham came out of the goal and Archie Lister tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Waltham booed when Seaton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johnnie Warnett didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dane Pullen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 88 minutes of play Seaton's Archie Lister was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 89 played minutes Seaton got a freekick which was hit by Archie Lister. If Drew Pollard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Waltham's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
