Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Rio Dixon made the kick off which started today's match. Marc Harban recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 2nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 4th minute, Marc Harban made a precise shot to the right of Marty Hoskins. Manchester United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Marty Hoskins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stephen Cuss, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 11 minutes, Fred Coogan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Waterlooville AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fred Coogan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Marc Harban came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Waterlooville AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marc Harban couldn't finish the play. After having played for 14 minutes, Marc Harban managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Waterlooville AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marc Harban was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marc Harban sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marty Hoskins stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marc Harban's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Marc Harban received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Marty Hoskins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rio Dixon kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Tony Dalton scored 0-2 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marty Hoskins, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marty Hoskins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marc Harban in the 32nd minute of the match. Marty Hoskins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marc Harban, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Stephen Cuss received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Marty Hoskins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute Kristian Brooks shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marty Hoskins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 45 minutes into the game, Waterlooville AFC's Fred Coogan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marty Hoskins made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marc Harban stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Grant Nightingale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fred Coogan got free with Marty Hoskins in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Stephen Cuss had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Marc Harban sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stephen Cuss could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Marty Hoskins made a huge save. Waterlooville AFC's Marc Harban got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Stephen Cuss sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marty Hoskins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marc Harban, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Manchester United's goalkeeper Marty Hoskins, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Waterlooville AFC booed when Manchester United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rio Dixon didn't get a good kick on the ball. 88 minutes into the match, Waterlooville AFC's Stephen Cuss sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marty Hoskins narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 90 minutes into the match, Manchester United's goal looked a bit too open when Marc Harban came free, but Marty Hoskins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Waterlooville AFC played a much better game than Manchester United and deserved their victory. The Manchester United players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
