Sonny Crtichell blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Crispin Stockley having to make a save. If Adrian King had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregory Slater in the 10th minute of play forced Bicester's goalkeeper Leroy Burbeary to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 14 played minutes Bicester got a freekick which was hit by Ben Wring. In the 15th minute of the match Felix Floyd sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leroy Burbeary skillfully saved the ball. Leroy Burbeary took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gregory Slater, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leroy Burbeary made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adrian King in the 20th minute. Tim Fitter hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. After 76 minutes, Jack Bedford mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bicester and the Stevenage players grew even worse after the yellow card.
