Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) After some careless play in the Rawmarsh AFC defense, Kyle Jefferies kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pat Lewington. The Rawmarsh AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pat Lewington should have stopped the shot. When Kyle Jefferies came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Ferndown AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kyle Jefferies couldn't finish the play. Vincent Constable kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the match, Rawmarsh AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Kyle Jefferies came free, but Pat Lewington reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Rawmarsh AFC's zone, Kyle Jefferies stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pat Lewington came out of the goal and Kyle Jefferies tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Orson Case might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rod Bilham. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Orson Case ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felix Burkinshaw in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rod Bilham saved Ferndown AFC from getting behind. Jay Bilham kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Vincent Constable sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Orson Case fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rod Bilham having to interfere. Pat Lewington showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kyle Jefferies, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Orson Case managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rawmarsh AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Orson Case was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rod Bilham breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pat Lewington took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kyle Jefferies, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th minute Kelvin Baldwin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pat Lewington saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Kyle Jefferies had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pat Lewington. Rawmarsh AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kyle Jefferies was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After having played for 47 minutes, Orson Case managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rawmarsh AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Orson Case was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Felix Burkinshaw made a kick off. Rod Bilham took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Burkinshaw, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kelvin Baldwin might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pat Lewington. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kyle Jefferies's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pat Lewington read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. In the 60th minute Felix Burkinshaw shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rod Bilham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 61 played minutes Ferndown AFC got a freekick which was hit by Vance Cunningham. The supporters of Rawmarsh AFC booed when Ferndown AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Faith didn't get a good kick on the ball. Felix Burkinshaw's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rod Bilham read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. In the 66th minute of the match Rawmarsh AFC got a corner. Ferndown AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Garry Moody ran over to the corner to take the kick. Basil Littlechild made a great header on Rawmarsh AFC's corner, it was just that Ferndown AFC's Rod Bilham managed to reach the ball for a save. When Brandon Hollingsworth fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ferndown AFC's protests and gave Brandon Hollingsworth a yellow card for diving instead. In the 70th match minute, Ferndown AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brandon Hollingsworth to maneuver through the defense. Felix Burkinshaw sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Orson Case struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Rod Bilham didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rawmarsh AFC. Kelvin Baldwin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 88 minutes into the game, Ferndown AFC's Kyle Jefferies nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pat Lewington made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Ferndown AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
