Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Martyn Penn made the kick off and thus started the match. Lewis Dothery recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alfie Hassell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martyn Penn, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. In the 10th minute, Martyn Fearns made a precise shot to the right of Alfie Hassell. Southall United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Sonny Woodier came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Southall United's Glenn Haseldine. But to his dismay, Glenn Haseldine quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Alfie Hassell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martyn Penn in the 20th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Martyn Fearns managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nunthorpe's supporters rose to their feet, but Martyn Fearns was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfie Hassell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luke Welch hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute, Lewis Dothery got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Lewis Dothery had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nunthorpe's Sonny Woodier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lewis Dothery in the 42nd minute of play. Sonny Woodier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lewis Dothery, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Glenn Haseldine to make the kick off. In the 56th minute, Martyn Penn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Martyn Penn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Martyn Fearns received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Alfie Hassell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, Martyn Fearns got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 73rd match minute, Southall United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Russ Bator to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 74 minutes, Martyn Penn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nunthorpe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martyn Penn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Southall United defense, Martyn Penn kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alfie Hassell. The Southall United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alfie Hassell should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Nunthorpe's Liam Fox got a free kick in the 80th minute. A hard shot 81 in the game by Lewis Dothery from a close distance when the talented Sonny Woodier managed to make a qualified save. Nunthorpe's players were relieved. Lewis Dothery's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sonny Woodier read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Glenn Haseldine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Sonny Woodier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Glenn Haseldine might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sonny Woodier. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Glenn Haseldine ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 96th minute, one of Nunthorpe:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Nunthorpe. In the 98th minute there was a penalty for Southall United. Joey Marlow stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Sonny Woodier. 2-4. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Southall United had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
