Reg Bentham dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shane Backhouse in the 26th minute of play forced Lymington United's goalkeeper Reg Bentham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Sean Hutchinson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th minute, Shane Backhouse made a precise shot to the right of Reg Bentham. Lymington United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Martin Impey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
