Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dale Morgan started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 4 minutes into the match, Ponteland United's goal looked a bit too open when Dale Morgan came free, but Liam Long reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Matt Oldroyd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Curtis Farmer having to interfere. Curtis Farmer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matt Oldroyd, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 9 minutes, Kelvin Shipperley mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Louth and the Ponteland United players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Louth getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Kelvin Shipperley hit a great ball. Liam Long made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Perry Hickson in the 12th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dale Morgan in the 15th minute of play forced Ponteland United's goalkeeper Liam Long to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kyle Turner kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. If Dale Morgan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Perry Hickson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ponteland United's goalkeeper Liam Long, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Dale Morgan came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Louth fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dale Morgan couldn't finish the play. Ponteland United's Liam Long played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dale Morgan in the 31st minute of play. Johnathon Sweeney hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. The long shot by Giles Horn in the 33rd minute really tested Liam Long's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Matt Oldroyd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Curtis Farmer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Curtis Farmer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ryan Hubbard in the 45th minute of play. Ryan Hubbard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Ryan Hubbard made the kick off in the second half. Louth's Dale Morgan got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 57 played minutes, Louth's Antony Trotter shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Liam Long came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Louth reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Perry Hickson in the 59th minute of play forced Ponteland United's goalkeeper Liam Long to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st minute, Dylon Barltrop hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th minute, Dale Morgan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Louth fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. The supporters of Ponteland United booed when Louth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kelvin Shipperley didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ponteland United's Geoff Jump couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 70th minute. Curtis Farmer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ryan Hubbard in the 94th minute of the match. After 94 minutes, Kyle Turner mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Louth and the Ponteland United players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 95th match minute, Louth was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kyle Turner to maneuver through the defense. Louth's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
