Dale Morgan did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Terry Colman 27 minutes into the match. Terry Colman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dale Morgan in the 30th minute of the match. Terry Colman made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Perry Hickson sent off a good shot on target. In the 32nd match minute, Newcastle was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Curtis Cooke to maneuver through the defense. If Perry Hickson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 40 minutes into the match, Louth's Dale Morgan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Terry Colman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Perry Hickson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 47thth minute, Terry Colman skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marlon Roy made a kick off. Dale Morgan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Perry Hickson might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Terry Colman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Perry Hickson ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 71st minute, Dale Morgan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Terry Colman was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. After some careless play in the Newcastle defense, Dale Morgan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Terry Colman. The Newcastle fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Terry Colman should have stopped the shot. Louth's Kyle Turner got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Terry Colman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Perry Hickson, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Curtis Cooke hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Dale Morgan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Terry Colman having to interfere. Terry Colman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
