After a defensive mix-up in Windermere AFC's zone, Leigh Stead stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicholas Cummins came out of the goal and Leigh Stead tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Gloucester AFC's Rufus Endean in the 5th minute got a chance for a shot 5th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Windermere AFC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 10th minute, Rufus Endean left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gloucester AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Daryl Kerr made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronan Coulthard in the 14th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Rufus Endean dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Nicholas Cummins, 2-0. If Ronan Coulthard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Nicholas Cummins managed to avoid a goal in the 30thth minute, when Gloucester AFC's Leigh Stead fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Theo Stevens kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. 42 minutes into the match, Windermere AFC's goalkeeper Nicholas Cummins had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leigh Stead. Nicholas Cummins made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leigh Stead in the 45th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rufus Endean was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Windermere AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Rufus Endean came free, but Nicholas Cummins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leigh Stead might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nicholas Cummins. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leigh Stead ran back to his position shaking his head. Nicholas Cummins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leigh Stead in the 53rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Ronan Coulthard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Windermere AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ronan Coulthard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Daryl Kerr breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 58 minutes of play, Windermere AFC's Theo Stevens made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Daryl Kerr was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Ronan Coulthard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leigh Stead fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicholas Cummins having to interfere. Leigh Stead received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Nicholas Cummins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daryl Kerr took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronan Coulthard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 84 minutes, Theo Stevens managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Windermere AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Theo Stevens was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ronan Coulthard was extremely unlucky when he, in the 85th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After having played for 91 minutes, Leigh Stead managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gloucester AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leigh Stead was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leigh Stead sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute, Leigh Stead ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nicholas Cummins was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the Windermere AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Gloucester AFC.
