Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Weston Super Mare's Walter Pennant started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Gerry Seaman came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Weston Super Mare fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerry Seaman couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 5 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Walter Pennant sped through Moleicester City's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cody Beckham. In the 11th minute, Moleicester City's Nath Perkins ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ged Rogers. Ged Rogers yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Dean Paine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 22 minutes, Ian Stonehouse mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Moleicester City and the Weston Super Mare players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Weston Super Mare booed when Moleicester City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ian Stonehouse didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nat Millman made in the 26th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Johnathan Bateman. 28 minutes into the match, Dean Paine notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Moleicester City's Cody Beckham. Cody Beckham was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Weston Super Mare's Oscar Burnham got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Ged Rogers was a little too slow when Syd Cross got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 35th minute. The score was now 2-3. Cody Beckham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walter Pennant, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Weston Super Mare's Ged Rogers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Weston Super Mare from getting a goal against them. After the first half Weston Super Mare were leading 2-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nath Perkins stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Johnathan Bateman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ged Rogers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Gerry Seaman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute, Weston Super Mare's Walter Pennant ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cody Beckham. Cody Beckham yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-5. 65 minutes into the game, Dean Paine recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cody Beckham. Dean Paine showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-6. Cody Beckham didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Weston Super Mare's Walter Pennant shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-7 in the ordered_time% minute. Cody Beckham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walter Pennant in the 75th minute of play. Ged Rogers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johnathan Bateman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Moleicester City's Nath Perkins got a free kick in the 77th minute. With a little luck, Moleicester City's Cody Beckham got control of the ball when Walter Pennant tried to sneak it across the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, Moleicester City's goalkeeper Cody Beckham had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Walter Pennant. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dean Paine got free with Cody Beckham in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cody Beckham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walter Pennant in the 89th minute of play.
