Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) 5 minutes into the match, Hoylake's goal looked a bit too open when Sly Bowen came free, but Bart Wood reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Sly Bowen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sly Bowen in the 10th minute of play forced Hoylake's goalkeeper Bart Wood to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 10 played minutes Hoylake got a freekick which was hit by Karl Ridsdale. The referee felt a red card was in order, 14 minutes into the game, when Johnny Davies put in a rough tackle. FC Lokomotiv Luxulyan's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Garth Green 19 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Pete Sharpe charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pete Sharpe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 24th match minute, FC Lokomotiv Luxulyan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pete Sharpe to maneuver through the defense. Glenn Ratcliffe's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ash Findley read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Bart Wood showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sly Bowen in the 28th minute of the match. Keiran McGrath hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Garth Green received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Ash Findley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ash Findley made an important save on a dangerous shot by Glenn Ratcliffe in the 42nd minute. Glenn Ratcliffe might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ash Findley. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Glenn Ratcliffe ran back to his position shaking his head. Ash Findley was out of position in the 45 minute of play, and Garth Green capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Garth Green really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Garth Green made a kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Garth Green managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hoylake's supporters crossed their fingers, but Garth Green was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Robert Moon kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. In the 62nd minute, Owen Smith hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sly Bowen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Bart Wood tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jermaine Ashby recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 69 minutes in the game, Sly Bowen fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Bart Wood having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Garth Green managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hoylake's supporters rose to their feet, but Garth Green was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ash Findley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Hoylake booed when FC Lokomotiv Luxulyan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barney Sweeney didn't get a good kick on the ball. 79 minutes into the match, FC Lokomotiv Luxulyan's goal looked a bit too open when Garth Green came free, but Ash Findley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Glenn Ratcliffe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Ash Findley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Barney Sweeney during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 84th minute Garth Green shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ash Findley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, FC Lokomotiv Luxulyan's goal looked a bit too open when Garth Green came free, but Ash Findley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Garth Green had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ash Findley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl Ridsdale, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. When Hoylake's Garth Green in 98 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Ash Findley guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in.
