Lunatic Leeds's Kenny Lawson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvester Nightingale in the 12th minute of play. Kenny Lawson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvester Nightingale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 17th play minutes Silvester Nightingale shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Kenny Lawson and just under the crossbar into goal. Jeremy Radcliffe hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Kenny Lawson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvester Nightingale in the 26th minute of the match. Lewis Warner hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Gav Cornish received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Lance Strickland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ben Pyrah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lance Strickland having to interfere. The supporters of Baston booed when Lunatic Leeds was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Austen Hickson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 51st minute, Barrie Boxall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 56 minutes into the game, Pat Cawood was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lunatic Leeds's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Baston the free kick. In the 56th match minute, Lunatic Leeds was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pat Cawood to maneuver through the defense. Kenny Lawson had great luck who in the 58thth minute grab hold of the ball when Silvester Nightingale from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Kenny Lawson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvester Nightingale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Lunatic Leeds's Pat Cawood got a free kick in the 66th minute. 68 minutes into the game, Dom Kellaway was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Baston's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lunatic Leeds the free kick. After 68 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Baston! In the 69th minute there was a penalty for Lunatic Leeds. Ben Pyrah stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Lance Strickland. 1-1. 73 minutes into the match, Baston's goal looked a bit too open when Ben Pyrah came free, but Lance Strickland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 76 minutes into the match, Lunatic Leeds's goalkeeper Kenny Lawson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Barrie Boxall. Ben Pyrah might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lance Strickland. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ben Pyrah ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 81st minute Ben Pyrah shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lance Strickland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Lewis Warner took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Kenny Lawson to make any attempt to save it. Ben Pyrah sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lance Strickland showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gav Cornish in the 98th minute of the match. Although Lunatic Leeds had been in control for most of the match, Baston still came away with the win.
