Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Aaron Douglas took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 7th match minute, Baston was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lewis Warner to maneuver through the defense. 9 minutes into the match, Baston's goal looked a bit too open when Bobby White came free, but Lance Strickland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Aaron Douglas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 18 minutes into the game, Bobby White cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Lance Strickland was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Silvester Nightingale in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Matthew Ryder saved Kendal from getting behind. Matthew Ryder made an important save on a dangerous shot by Silvester Nightingale in the 27th minute. Bobby White sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Baston getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Tod Amos hit a great ball. In the 31st minute Bobby White shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lance Strickland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 34 played minutes Kendal got a freekick which was hit by Mike Martin. After a rather tough play, Baston's Jeremy Radcliffe got a free kick in the 41st minute. Lance Strickland didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bobby White went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The Baston players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Kendal were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Silvester Nightingale stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Aaron Douglas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Silvester Nightingale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Matthew Ryder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 62 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Barrie Boxall sped through Kendal's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Matthew Ryder. Aaron Douglas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lance Strickland having to interfere. Bobby White recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Silvester Nightingale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 74 played minutes Baston got a freekick which was hit by William Kitching. In the 76th minute, Baston's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Aaron Douglas fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvester Nightingale in the 78th minute of play forced Kendal's goalkeeper Matthew Ryder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Baston's zone, Aaron Douglas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lance Strickland came out of the goal and Aaron Douglas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Matthew Ryder stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Silvester Nightingale's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. When Silvester Nightingale came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Baston fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvester Nightingale couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Kendal getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Kelvin Bower hit a great ball. Lance Strickland stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aaron Douglas's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. When Aaron Douglas came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Kendal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aaron Douglas couldn't finish the play. In the 97th minute, Lewis Warner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match was over Kendal could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Baston throughout the match.
