Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Lunatic Leeds's Kenny Lawson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Malcolm Dodgson in the 5th minute of play. Malcolm Dodgson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kenny Lawson having to interfere. Rex Cryan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 9 minutes into the game, Hayle's Rex Cryan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kenny Lawson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Phil Brewer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gav Cornish, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ben Pyrah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Phil Brewer having to interfere. Gav Cornish sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kenny Lawson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rex Cryan in the 21st minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Malcolm Dodgson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hayle fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Kenny Lawson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Malcolm Dodgson, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gav Cornish in the 28th minute of play forced Hayle's goalkeeper Phil Brewer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute Rex Cryan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kenny Lawson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, Lunatic Leeds's goal looked a bit too open when Rex Cryan came free, but Kenny Lawson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute, Ben Pyrah got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ben Pyrah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Phil Brewer having to interfere. Lunatic Leeds's Ben Pyrah was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 39th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Kenny Lawson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rex Cryan in the 43rd minute of the match. Kenny Lawson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Furlong in the 44th minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Trevor Legzdins had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kenny Lawson. Lunatic Leeds's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Trevor Legzdins was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gav Cornish made a kick off. Kenny Lawson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rex Cryan in the 54th minute. A collision led to Lunatic Leeds getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Kasey Lovett hit a great ball. 77 minutes into the match, Lunatic Leeds's goal looked a bit too open when Malcolm Dodgson came free, but Kenny Lawson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ben Pyrah received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Phil Brewer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Alexander Griggs fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hayle's protests and gave Alexander Griggs a yellow card for diving instead. 82 minutes into the game, one of Hayle:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ben Pyrah placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Gav Cornish scored 2-4 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Phil Brewer, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gav Cornish struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Phil Brewer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lunatic Leeds. 97 minutes into the game, Byron Houghton was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hayle's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lunatic Leeds the free kick. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Hayle walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
