Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Weaverham's Syd Horner started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leigh Parks in the 9th minute of play forced Weaverham's goalkeeper Blair Garrett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Syd Horner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eddie Jennings fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blair Garrett having to interfere. In the 22nd minute Eddie Jennings shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blair Garrett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eddie Jennings in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Blair Garrett saved Weaverham from getting behind. Alfie Beckford was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 31st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Eddie Jennings might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Blair Garrett. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eddie Jennings ran back to his position shaking his head. Leigh Parks's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Blair Garrett read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Weaverham's goal looked a bit too open when Leigh Parks came free, but Blair Garrett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Tim Nethercoat fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Weaverham's protests and gave Tim Nethercoat a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Weaverham's Tim Nethercoat got a free kick in the 44th minute.

Ritchie Mortimer charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ritchie Mortimer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Eddie Jennings received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Blair Garrett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 58th play minutes Eddie Jennings shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Blair Garrett and just under the crossbar into goal. Eddie Jennings received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Blair Garrett came out and tried to block the shot, but Eddie Jennings slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 64th minute. Blair Garrett didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 67th minute, which inside left pole to 0-3. 73 minutes into the match, Weaverham's goalkeeper Blair Garrett had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leigh Parks. Syd Horner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miles Cullen having to interfere. Miles Cullen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chip Simms in the 79th minute of the match. Miles Cullen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ritchie Mortimer in the 86th minute of play. After 88 minutes of play, Weaverham's Chip Simms made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Miles Cullen was left in no man's land by his defense there! Weaverham's Blair Garrett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eddie Jennings in the 92nd minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 94th minute by Leigh Parks got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Dunchurch eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
